Jonathan Collings, Alesia Communications' founder and lead consultant, started his career in the renewable energy sector in 2006 working at WindEurope in Brussels, where he gained, as marketing manager, deep insights into the wind energy global supply chain.

He moved to London in 2008 to take on the role of Global Marketing Manager at RES Group, the world's largest independent renewables IPP, giving him indepth multi-technology knowledge. Jonathan sat on the WindEurope exhibitor’s council for a number of years, and is a former board member of the South African Wind Energy Association.   

In 2011, he co-founded the communications agency Collings & Monney, where he was in charge of delivering all client services. The agency experienced tremendous success, and was rebranded "Alesia Communications" in 2014.

Jonathan Collings was early on recognised as a renewable energy communications thoughtleader, and was interviewed alongside Vestas and GWEC by Wind Power Monthly for its special cover story on Wind Energy Communications in 2013. He also contributed a regular column on energy PR issues in the magazine Recharge, one of the leading publications in the renewable energy industry.

Jonathan is a Belgian national with master degrees in communication, journalism and international relations, and is also a trained solar PV project developer (RENAC Germany).

For the past 15 years, Jonathan and his team provided marketing support to over 60 renewable energy businesses coming from all over the world.
